Client’s intended use for the footage was to cut it into TikTok reels, YouTube channel content, and Facebook video posts, so no final edit was produced on my end. Color and sound corrected the A-Cam and B-Cam footage before delivery to client. All production, photography, color grading, sound engineering, and camera work © Glass Heron Photography and Imaging L.L.C. 2022 Demo clip for Attention 2 Detail automotive detailing and powder coating shop. Placed all cameras, lit all photography, engineered all sound, executed all editing. Audio on some of the dialogue is weak as the speaker was unwilling to pause work in the shop for the duration of recording, so I had to remove the sound of air compressors which also removed some of his voice. Logos and graphics are pulled from tiny Facebook files and music is unlicensed, but as this piece’s purpose was to demonstrate my suitability to the account’s needs such concerns were unimportant. © Glass Heron Photography and Imaging L.L.C. 2022 Produced for North Shore Health Centers. Edited as a subcontractor for client contracted to Lee Enterprises. In addition to videography and video editing, I performed the color grading. Scrubbed content down from about 30 minutes of footage. I dislike the A camera’s “straight ahead” positioning on the subject as well as the lack of headroom on the B camera for the first two interview subjects. I produced the script and narrative entirely from the statements the interview subjects gave us separately prompted by the shoot director with “talk about” statements. Essentially, I “wrote” this piece using the interview subjects’ prompted responses. I was uninvolved with acquiring the footage for this video. I was given about a half hour of unedited clips with no particular structure to turn them back into a story of the event. Considering the difficulty of capturing specialized video such as sporting events, I feel the camera operators gave me enough to work with, though some chipping/midrange shots could have gone a long way towards building more narrative around the actual golf. Note that the footage was not shot in LOG so color grading options were limited. Produced and recorded for private client Veteran’s Home Buyers. Shot solo with wide angle on tripod as B camera. I operated the A camera on a video tripod with a fluid head. Some problems with audio due to wind, corrected as well as possible in Adobe Audition. The video’s subject / client knows his script and talking points very well and prompts his interview subject very well, eliminating the need for a script or re-takes. I used the two camera setup to allow for cutting to clean up dialogue, remove stuttering, and create “flow” of discussion. The video is excessively long, but the client’s intention is to re-cut the footage into smaller interactions to feature on Instagram and other social media.© Glass Heron Photography and Imaging L.L.C. 2021 Produced, recorded, and edited for private client Veteran’s Home Buyers. Shot solo with both cameras in fixed positions on heavy video tripods. Because the client/subject did not want his lavalier microphone to be visible in the video, some audio problems arose in places where his sweatshirt produced friction on it as he inserted his hands into his pockets. Because of this, I had to switch in places from that audio feed to audio feed from a shotgun mic mounted on the A camera which was fairly close to him. For the client’s intended purposes, (cutting the video into smaller clips to use on Instagram and other social media feeds) this wasn’t a problem, but I found the lack of background noise (birds and traffic) to be distracting when the feed changed. I created a sound imprint based on one audio feed’s background noise and added it to the other feed so as to maintain the same audio atmosphere. © Glass Heron Photography and Imaging L.L.C. 2022
